Oatmeal in a Mason Jar

Oatmeal's been among our breakfast favorites for a while now. Here's a way to make this delicious meal even look pretty. This little treat for the eye is just the perfect way to start your morning! 

 

Ingredients:

– 3/4 cup of  oatmeal

– 1 tbsp of  chia seeds

– 250ml milk

– 1 pinch of  salt

– 1 tsp of honey

– 1 tbsp Just Spices Oatmeal Spice Blend Seasoning

– Seasonal fruits, nuts or coconut flakes as topping


Preparation:

1. Mix the oatmeal with chia seeds and milk in a pot and let it cook on low heat until it becomes creamy. Don't forget to stir while cooking!  Add honey, Oatmeal Spice Blend and a pinch of salt while cooking.

Hint: In case you are in a hurry you can prepare the oatmeal and the chia seeds the night before and let it rest in the fridge. It's even more yummy!
 
2. For best results, layer the oatmeal with fruits in your mason jar and then top it with coconut flakes and nuts.

Hint: Get as creative as you like with the toppings. We also love to enjoy it with banana slices, cocoa nibs or strawberries.
